Panasonic GH3

With the GH3 we shoot in Quicktime .mov format. This is an h264 codec and although you might think you'd be able to simply edit right from the card you can't.
The GH3 shoots onto SD cards. A 64GB card will record about an hour and forty-five minutes.
SD cards are relatively robust.
Personally I spend a bit of time flipping back between automatic and manual focus — even during the course of a shot. Especially if I'm shooting handheld.
The two things to pay attention for (at least for me) are

1. the frame rate (making sure I'm not shooting over or under-cranked)
2. whether I'm actually shooting or not (these dang digital cameras are so quiet that one can accidentally be rolling — or cutting — and not notice until halfway through a take.).
